Since your blog seems not to be active (and I find it a pity!), I will not develop... All the best, Hatzlacha in all your doings. After all, it's...I expect they used the Sulam. After all, it's the main book they sell, expensively (it's less than $100 in stores, but several hundred from them) and they did hijack R' Ashlag's work and standing for their own use.

Looking at the text in parallel, the translation seems OK, but of course I don't know enough to say if the symbolism is correct. What little I do know, it seems to fit - basic attributes of the sefiros, etc. I have yet to get through more than the first few chapters of Otzros Chaim, for instance.

At any rate, it's way better than a Berg translation from Ramchal that I picked up 20+ years ago at a book fair. That translation simply made no sense - wasn't even good English.thanbohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06197564008203120013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9267923.post-53115002040282889612011-03-23T18:59:52.144-07:002011-03-23T18:59:52.144-07:00I am skeptical that any of the Bergs are capable o...I am skeptical that any of the Bergs are capable of translating the Zohar; my guess is that he used the Sulam and/ or Soncino. If anyone has time on their hands, it would be interesting to see if it can be shown if he did or didn't translate from the Zohar itself.S.http://onthemainline.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9267923.post-62325233138160764032011-03-23T17:22:19.214-07:002011-03-23T17:22:19.214-07:00R Josh Waxman points to it every week (parshablog....R Josh Waxman points to it every week (parshablog.blogspot.com), so I assume it's legit to use, and reasonably accurate, despite the source.thanbohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06197564008203120013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9267923.post-74094701104581056632011-03-23T12:05:30.357-07:002011-03-23T12:05:30.357-07:00I just reposted this to Avodah, with the dishonest...I just reposted this to Avodah, with the dishonest move of not mentioning the cult-leader.

-michamicha bergerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11612144735431285113noreply@blogger.com
